Resolved Question: Which running shoes would be better for a person with an ankle problem?

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

I bought 2 pairs of running shoes and am trying to decide which ones to keep. I have an ankle tendon problem and don’t know whether ones with more or less cushioning are better. I also have to wear them with orthotics if that makes any difference.

These are the ones that I bought that have more cushioning around the back of the foot. My foot kind sinks into them with each step.

These are the other ones I bought. They have a harder bottom and very little cushioning

I am 15years old 5ft 4 with a good size bust and an athletic body. Nothing too expensive. I like the stores…Wet Seal is my favorite and i like charlotte russe, american eagle, pac sun, hot topic, target, and journeys and macys. Sometimes i like hollister and jcpenny. I have a sporty/girly/casual style and i like to look effortless and relaxed. But please no skinny jeans. Three pieces I really like are:

The link for number 2 is wrong. Wrong shirt. So ignore that one.

Open Question: My feet hurt, especially my heels?

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

I get a lot of pain in my feet since I was about 15 weeks, but the pain is mostly in my heels. I work 12 hours at a time and they usually don’t start bothering me until after about 8 hours on the days I work, but it’s been getting worse. By the end of the day I can barely walk they hurt so bad. I didn’t even work today and was hardly on my feet at all, but my heels are just killing me! I wear athletic shoes with good support all the time, I’ve tried the gel insoles and arch supports and heel cushions, nothing helps! Support hose isn’t an option on the days I work since it’s usually about 95 degrees in the building and I’m constantly running around (literally), I barely even have time to drink any water, so I need to keep as cool as possible by wearing shorts and stuff. Basically I can’t afford to wear anything that’s going to heat me up more. My doctor doesn’t really seem to care. My feet aren’t getting swollen or anything, they just hurt.
